A very clear, sunny but windy day in Wanaka and we had arranged to meet David and Isla at the Patagonia coffee shop on the waterfront. As you can see they arrived in typical Dixon style!
Isla enjoyed her "fluffy" (whisked milk topped with chocolate) and we settled for the usual flat whites. On then to the play park, followed by duck and seagull feeding. The gulls were so keen that they hovered in the wind about 12 inches in front of your face - quite unnerving at times.
The LLW decided that a more sedate activity was now required so we drove out of town to the lavender farm which was lovely. Of course we needed to purchase some goodies and top of the list was a very fine plate (you will recall that we have a distinct shortage of these at Skinners Cottage!).
After a short period back at the apartment, we had a lovely dinner with David, Jess, Isla and their friend Pete at his house on the outskirts of Wanaka. Fantastic views across the lake and just a lovely evening.
