Dear Reader, I'm sorry if you have missed posts to the blog over the past few days. Since arriving on the island of Kea to stay with our dear friends George & Evi Koliris, life has been a bit of a whirlwind of activities. The highlight has been the conference commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Britannic and the Burdigala which were both hospital ships, and the wrecks are on the sea floor a couple of miles or so off the coast of Kea.
We are now experts on technical diving techniques but are not yet convinced we will try it ourselves! The 20 minute dives to the Britannic required over 2 hours decompression on the way up!
In true Greek custom, dinner has been served about 22:00 to 22:30 and bedtime has been ~01:00; not quite what we are used to.
I will update the blog properly once I get home adding some more photos of the beautiful Greek islands.
We will be heading off for the airport soon after a hot day in Athens 28C.
