It has been a while since I blogged, but post Covid this is the first real long journey we have undertaken. I am currently engaged in attempting to ensure that the LLW switches off from work.
As I write the LLW is still working and telling me that she will be in at the normal time, which seems to me to be anywhere between 17:30 and 19:00.
Baked potatoes are in the new fangled Ninja Foodi and hopefully we will be able to eat in 30/45 mins.
I am delighted to have been informed that we will be flying Gatwick to Dubai and Dubai to Perth in an Airbus A380-800 which is absolutely my favourite plane. They are being phased out but in the past have provided a perfect environment for the long journey to OZ.
We are scheduled to arrive in Perth about 17:30 on 16th December which in the past has proven perfect timing. A quick glass or two of Aussie Shiraz and then an early night has resulted in zero jet lag the next morning.
I have planned a quiet first day and then we are off to Rottnest Island, cycling, swimming and communicating with Quokkas, the smallest marsupials on earth. Can't wait!
